One of the ones that anyone with any familiarity with D*sney should know, though Hiyori isn't sure if Elan falls under that category. He's heard the song before himself, but never actually sung it, so he needs to look at the lyrics as he sings. He's also not an especially huge fan of the song, or anything. So why'd he accept the machine's suggestion instead of tossing it back to the sea? Well, three reasons!
1. He wanted to try something new for a change! 2. He was mistaken for a mermaid princess by a child at the beach once, so it seemed somewhat fitting. (Long story.) 3. Elan's been talking about how he wanted to live, so this song about longing to explore more of the world and walk on land as a human seemed fitting for those reasons, too.
