Too violent for me! If you want to assert your boundaries, I'd just hang one that says "Do not disturb." That phrase is a classic.
[He raises his mug up from his lap and sips his tea. Then he adds, casually:]
Then there's this trick I've heard of, where you leave a sock on the doorknob to keep your roommates out. That's what some commoners use in place of a "Do not disturb" sign. Something about that always seemed a bit crass to me, though. Even if it's fresh out of the laundry, I'd rather not use a sock!
Hmm? And which connotations might those be? All I know is that when the heat stopped working and I was hugging Jun-kun for warmth, his roommate walked in and said to "Put a sock on the door next time." I didn't understand that strange custom, so I had Jun-kun explain, and he said that's a trick commoners use. It means "Do not disturb!" Or, it means "I have company over."
But I'd only be doing it as a prank amongst the other idols, of course. I wouldn't dare spread rumors the press or other outsiders might latch onto. Sometimes we gossip amongst ourselves, though, and that's all in good fun...♪
Depends how you'd define "juicy." I feel I hear more about conflicts than I do about lovey-dovey things, though. Internal strife, money issues, "creative differences," and all that stuff.
[He sighs and takes a sip of tea. He wishes people would give him the good gossip :'(]
It's a shame, since I'd rather hear nice things. Things that bring excitement, and things that bring joy! But I guess everyone's too well-behaved to go around on dates. We idols aren't allowed to do that stuff, even though all of us still feel "love."

[ He sighs, although it's a good natured sort of sigh. The sort that one makes when they're not really all that aggravated. ]
What about "trespassers will be shot"? That's a good one, too.
[ Kidding! Probably. ]

[ Elan is trying to contain his laughter. He's not doing a good job. ]
It's got, uh, connotations.

[He recites all this matter-of-factly.
... he's so close to getting it, but so far.]
no subject
[ He flashes a wide grin. ]
...it does mean "I have company over" but the kind of company that you get nice and cozy with.
[ He's laying this out with a bit of relish and emphasis. ]

His eyes narrow with suspicion.]
Nice and cozy like hugging for warmth? Or nice and cozy like the "hugging" we did in space?
[Yes, he still thinks of their first time as having happened "in space."]

[ He's not even lying right now! ]

[He seems disappointed. Or maybe ever-so-slightly awkward?]
Kids these days are so crass. I don't mind if fans dream about me and Jun-kun, but people shouldn't just assume things!
no subject
[ He is way too pleased to inform him of that. ]
no subject
Well, we didn't have a sock, so that's even less reason to assume!
[Not that it's a huge deal. Or the first time someone assumed they were a couple.]

[ He laughs quietly. Seeing him pout is honestly... cute. ]
no subject
[He sticks his nose in the air, still pouting.
Though then another thing occurs to him.]
... by the same token, doesn't that mean if you wanted to start a rumor, you could simply say, "I saw a sock on so-and-so's door"?

[No shame.]

[ In so many senses of the word. ]
Isn't that because people want to be able to imagine they have a shot with you?
[ He's a little blunt, even now. ]
