Basics:
▶ A popular idol who lived in a big dorm with other idols. His units are Eden and Eve.
▶ Second son of a rich noble family. Since his older brother is the heir, Hiyori is mostly allowed to do whatever he wants (as long as it doesn't reflect poorly on the Tomoe name).
▶ Proud dog parent.
▶ Frivolous spender whose #1 hobby is shopping. #2 would be tea parties.
Physical:
A pretty boy idol who takes great pride in his looks. He keeps in shape with constant dance practice but refuses to build too much muscle (it would go against his image!). His stomach was described as "squishy" by a certain junior. Dresses simply but expensively.
Character Summary:
In many ways, Hiyori Tomoe is an exemplary idol. Talented and passionate, he's someone who thrives on attention and loves to soak up the spotlight. He'll smile and wave at fans as he goes about his day, boasting at one point that he wouldn't mind being followed around by cameras 24/7. Although he goes long periods without a day off, he still shows up for jobs with a smile on his face. He's completely devoted to his work, his adoring fanbase, his two idol units, Eden and Eve.
Some of his behaviors off the stage are a little less than exemplary, however. Hiyori sports a massive ego and expects other people to wait on him, whether that means carrying his shopping bags (he refuses to lift anything heavier than a chopstick) or pouring him tea. He's also somewhat rude, prone to casually dismissing and occasionally insulting those around him. ("Um, what was your name again? Oh well, it doesn't matter.") His confidence slides right into narcissism, and his lack of consideration towards others is a common source of complaint. And he's also not above manipulating people if he thinks it's for a good cause—like when he lies to the members of his shuffle unit and tells them he's retiring as an idol soon, so he can bring the group together and draw the best performance out of them.
Hiyori is aware of the fact he's somewhat exhausting. (Or, as he puts it, "It seems there's a problem with my personality.") But when he's onstage, the audience loves him, and Hiyori is an idol because he craves that feeling of love. He wants to sparkle and shine, to be loved and adored by fans, and he wants the same for the rest of his unit, too, even though the other members are quite rough around the edges. And as the oldest member of Eden, Hiyori considers himself to be something like the group's doting big brother.
Although he may be a bit too in love with himself, he has plenty of love to give to others. He'll spoil and "raise" anyone he deems worthy of his attention, whether that's a stray dog he found in a dumpster, a quiet boy who was raised in captivity, or a scruffy underclassman with a beautiful untrained singing voice. His love is fierce and warm like the sun, though not unselfish: he fully expects to be loved and adored in return, constantly reminding his underclassman that he ought to shower him with gratitude (and maybe do some chores for him while he's at it). Giving a little bit and getting a lot in return: that's what you call good weather.
